2. The short version

This is a reading site. You do not need an account. We never ask for payment details. The only personal data we hold is what you send us and the technical records a web server keeps.

If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, subject and message, and we use them to reply.

Information collected automatically

Server logs may include your IP address, the time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser version. They exist to keep the site up and to notice abuse.

Preferences on your device

Your answer to the cookie notice is stored locally as playnovex.cookie-consent. See the cookie policy.

What we never collect

  • Payment card or bank details. There is nothing to buy.
  • Player accounts, scores or inventories. We do not run games.
  • Identity documents.
  • Special category data such as health or religion.

4. Why we process it

  • Consent for optional analytics, if we ever add them after you accept.
  • Legitimate interests for answering mail and keeping the site available.
  • Legal obligation where the law requires a record.

5. How long we keep it

  • Contact messages: up to 24 months after the thread ends.
  • Server logs: typically 30 days, never more than 12 months.
  • Consent preference: until you clear site data, or about 12 months.

6. Who else sees it

We do not sell personal data. Hosting, form and email providers process it on our instructions. Ask privacy@playnovex.org for the current list of processors.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to confirm, copy, correct, delete or restrict what we hold, or to stop processing that relies on legitimate interests. Email privacy@playnovex.org. We reply within one month.

8. Children

The writing is aimed at a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If a child has written to us, tell privacy@playnovex.org and we will delete the record.
