A magazine, not a game host
PlayNovex publishes illustrated explainers of three casual arcade games. We write and draw. We do not host software, keep scores or sell items.
What PlayNovex is
Short arcade games are easy to start and oddly hard to describe. We started this site so Chicken Road, Royal Drop and Frog Jump would have a quiet, illustrated write-up: what the scene looks like, what the controls actually do, and what a typical run feels like.
What PlayNovex is not
- We are not a studio or a publisher. We do not make the titles we describe.
- We do not host the games. There is no embed, launcher or download on this site.
- We do not keep scores or sell items. There is nothing to collect here.
- We are independent. We have no commercial relationship with the studios behind the titles.
How we research a guide
We study public descriptions and then draw our own version of the scene, so the article has a picture that belongs to us. We do not copy another studio's art. Where a date or a control is published, we quote it. Where we would have to guess, we stay quiet.
How we pay for the site
PlayNovex is advertising-supported. No studio pays for a guide, a ranking or a sentence. If that ever changes, the disclosure will sit on the page it affects.
